Nikolai Ryskov started his education at the age of seven with
his father, who taught the accordion at a musical school. When
ten years old, he continued his studies under Valery Elyseev.
Having passed his exams, he continued to study between 1984 and
1988 with Nikolai Komissarov at the Gnessin College of Music in
Moscow. Form 1988 to 1994 he studied at the Russian Academy of
Music with Igor Siroyezhkin. He also had many private lessons
with Frederick Lips, who encouraged him throughout his studies.
He performed as a soloist and in ensembles at the International
Classical Accordion Festivals “Bayan and Bayanisti”
in Moscow during 1990-1993 directed by Frederick Lips. Later he
took part in concert tours of Switzerland in 1994 in solos and
ensemble recitals at festivals and other venues in Bern, Zurich,
Lugano, Geneva and other cities.
In 1995 Nikolai moved to England and now lives in London. His
performances, whether in the concert hall or at a party, demonstrate
his shining virtuoso playing, and are a feast for all lovers of
music.
Listening to Nikolai Ryskov one understands
that he presents a brilliant professional talent, showing the highest
possible mastery of his instrument. His amazing technique, as well
as his unfailing response to the challenges presented by the instrument,
leaves the listener convinced that Nikolai Ryskov is definitely
an outstanding musician.
He performed on the 22nd February 2003 at the Blackpool Accordion
Festival.
Nikolai is playing Russian button Accordion Bayan “Jupiter”
B-system.
Nikolai has a very large repertoire of Classical music, International
popular music, French musettes and Russian folk music arranged for
Accordion.

Ryskov was born in 1973 in Russia. He started his education at the
age of six with his father, who taught the Accordion at a musical
school.
When nine years old, he continued his studies under Vladimir
Elysseev. Having passed his exams, he continued to study between
1988 and 1991 with professor Vyacheslav Belyakov at the Gnessin
College of Music in Moscow From 1991 to 1998 he studied at the Russian
Academy of Music in Moscow and from 1996 to 1998 he completed his
post graduate studies with Vyacheslav Belyakov.
He was the winner of the International Accordion competition in
1992 in Russia, Cherepovers, and 1st Prize
He has performed solo and in ensemble recitals in Moscow, St. Petersburg
and other cites of the Russian Federation He has also, performed
in 1991 in USA, in 1992 in Italy, since 1992 he has performed regularly
in Switzerland and since 2001 in the UK.
Ilia play a Russian Button Accordion Bayan “Jupiter”. Listening to Ilia Ryskov first of all you realize that before you
is already a complete musician who leads, convinces and conquers
you with his playing. His unbelievable technique just shocks you.
Ilia uses all 5 rows on his instrument during playing not only when
it is necessary and he believes that it gives the opportunity to
play with unlimited speed.
He has a very large repertoire of Classical, original, popular,
arrangements of Russian folk music and French musettes.
